About Southwold Flowers

Photoshoots at Southwold Flowers are a highlight of my working year, yet it never feels like work. The children of all ages and their families travel from all over the country to join us. We offer a unique experience every year from June to August, when the flowers are in bloom.

The children pick their own flowers, and that’s when the magic happens. I capture special moments of the children, not only as they choose their flowers but whilst they explore the fantastic colours and take in the beauty of nature.

With my photography, I can give those moments - the wonderment and joy of childhood - to my clients forever.

Lizzie, the barn owner, introduced me to her fields four years ago when they were barren yet full of potential. I was able to capture the tulip's first growth, and with that my friendship with Lizzie.

PYO flowers at Southwold flowers is one of the most amazing ideas for your children to do in a summer, plus if the are old enough they can go and pick flowers and y ou can st down and enjoy very yummy H&G coffee which is for sale at the barn too, what bonus of the day , right!

What a gorgeous life style shoot we had with baby boy William and his family last summer. it was extremely hot summer day. we even went for some shots in the garden which does not happen that often.

“We were thrilled with our newborn photoshoot. I'd been too nervous to book anything before he was born but once he had arrived knew how important it was to me to have some beautiful photos to capture that incredible time. Anna was amazing during the shoot and made us all feel at ease- not something I'd consider easy 10 days post c section and with our first baby! Upon receiving the images we couldn't believe how perfectly she had captured that time and the photos will be treasured forever. We cannot wait for our next one year shoot to continue to capture our little boys childhood.”

Our Story

“About an hour in to our first date back in October 2017, Luke stepped out to go to the toilet. Once he was out of earshot, an elder gentleman sat at the next table turned to me and went "so when's the wedding?" I laughed and explained how it was only our first date, yadda yadda yadda, and he replied "what?! No way! You seem like you've been together for years."  Fast forward to October 2022, we became Husband and Wife! “

Baby Boy Reuben and his Family

Life style newborn session with cute baby Reuben and his family on a very hot summer day in 2022. Even Dog had an amazing day with few extra treats. If you ever ask me if dogs are allowed to join the shoot, the answer will be “ABSOLUTELY”. I love dogs and their are part of the family after all, plus dogs make shoots so much more fun.

“I’m so glad I booked to have a Newborn Shoot with Anna. From the get go she made me and my partner feel so relaxed, made a massive fuss of our lil one and was superb with our fur baby as well! The whole day was so special and magical, and when we received our gallery it honestly made me so emotional! The photos were just stunning, Anna did such a wonderful job of capturing us in our newborn bubble!

“Having a photoshoot 8 days postpartum felt incredibly daunting but the day of the photoshoot is one of the fondest memories I have from our first few weeks as new parents. Postpartum for me was a time where I felt very self-conscious and a photoshoot didn’t seem the most desirable idea; I’m sure many new mums can relate. Please don’t let this stop you having a newborn shoot. When you look back at the pictures, the only thing you’ll notice is the love you have for your new perfect family and you’ll be so happy you captured them early memories. The rawness of the images is what makes them so precious. 

When I found Anna’s page during my pregnancy, I loved how authentic and timeless her photography was and I knew I needed to book a newborn shoot for my family. Anna made us feel so comfortable and truly made the experience very special. We found it to be a completely stress free experience. Anna has magic powers when it comes to soothing your baby and she allows for plenty of time for feeds and changes. Everything is worked around your babies needs.

I will treasure these images forever;

The newborn stage is so surreal and before you know it, they’re no longer a newborn, and it’s so lovely to have such beautiful images that capture the magic of them first few weeks. The newborn photoshoot gives you the perfect opportunity to get up and ready and make yourself feel great whilst doing something a little bit different. We found it to be a real bonding moment for our family- an uplifting and memorable experience.

The Family Gets Together

“Anna has photographed our growing family several times over the past few years. She goes the extra mile and we’ve always been delighted with the results, so I was really pleased to be gifted a photoshoot with her from my Mum and sisters. They opted for an extended family shoot which turned out to be a brilliant idea. Anna is very experienced at directing large groups and entertaining children whilst she’s at it! One of the best things about an extended family shoot is getting shots of everyone together but also having a range of different groupings. Anna was also able to get the shots of all the children together that we never have been able to achieve.”

Marley and Molly

Mummy and me sessions are always very popular and so special. Easy , relaxed and full of fun shoots. Mums are always hiding behind the camera and hardly ever get photos of them and their babies.

We had gorgeous winder sunset with Marley bear boy and Molly at beautiful Dunwich woods back in December 2022. Golden hour in December is around 2pm and until 3pm, so its so much easier to photograph little ones in the winter compared to summer golden hour which is around 7:30-9pm.

As a typical toddler Marley did not stop running around and splashing puddles, which made the session so fun.

They do grow up so fast and they change every months at this age, little sessions lille mummy and me always help to keep memories of them at any age!!!

Butley Priory is an unique venue full of history which is set in Woodbridge, Suffolk . It was described by Vogue as “one of the most romantic houses in England” and one of my most favorite places to work. 

Butley priory definitely has that WOW factor, as soon as you drive into their ground. The gardens, fields and forest around it , makes it more beautiful and you feel hidden away from the world.   When you are there you feel like you have stepped into history. 

Butley priory has gorgeous light rooms with tall and unique ceilings that can be used for your ceremony or your wedding breakfast. It has beautiful stairs which lead to the top floor with romantic looking bedrooms and breathtaking giant windows (I love using windows for photos every time I am there).

Vicky's and Mark's story  

"First date 19/3/2016 Mark took me to a tapas restaurant for lunch except the restaurant wasn’t there! He checked online on his phone and it had moved so we had to go find it …. A bit awkward on a first date lol. We found it though and had a lovely time chatting and getting to know each other. 

After 18 months Mark said he was applying for a job in Suffolk (we lived in Lancaster). It was a leap of faith but one year later we said goodbye to family and friends and made the move."

 How he proposed 

“Mark proposed on valentine's day 2020 by writing it in my valentines card….. which I didn’t read at first, I read the first bit then put the card down because we’d written the same thing! He said read the rest lol. “ 

"We Got married after covid had calmed down and wanted it to be just close family and friends not just to celebrate our marriage but for everyone to be able to come together and spend a memorable few days together. We loved Butley Priory, it was the first and only place we viewed."
